Search The WebGoing On VacationIt was late Summer when Layla's parents started packing their suitcases to go to Florida for their vacation. They promised her to fly down to Orlando from New York for a ten day Summer vacation if she did well at school, which she did. She got an outstanding grade report card that made her parents very proud of her. The plane was to take off at about 3:00 p.m. So, Layla, her brother Adam, and their parents arrived at the airport at about 1:00 p.m. After checking in their luggage, they went to the cafeteria and got some snacks. They boarded the plane at about 2:30 p.m. Layla and Adam started arguing about taking the window seat. Their dad said: " One of you gets the window seat on the way there, and the other one gets it on the way back." "Fine, she could have the window seat now, and I'll sit there on the way back." Adam said. The plane took off and landed on time. It was a typical hot and humid afternoon in Orlando. The line at the car rental company was too long. Layla and Adam were playing around while their daddy waited in line to sign the car rental agreement. The car was ready at about 6:30 p.m. The family drove to their resort which wasn't too far from the airport. They dropped their luggage off and went out to a nearby restaurant to have dinner. " Where are we going tomorrow daddy?" Adam asked. " We are going to Disney World." his father replied. " Yyyes!!!" Layla and Adam rejoiced. The next morning, Layla and Adam were up early and woke up their parents at about 7:00 a.m. saying: "Come on dad, let's go mommy, we're going to be late!" "Relax kids, they are probably not open yet." their mother said, while their father was getting out of bed and saying: "Get in the shower and brush your teeth." The family was on their way to Disney World after having breakfast. They got there at about 8:45a.m. It wasn't Layla's or Adam's first visit to Disney, but the excitment on their faces would make you think it was. The place was very crowded, and a lot of people were at the park already. The popular rides had very long lines, so mommy suggested to go on the less popular ones first. That worked out good, as the popular rides weren't as crowded by then. After going on most of the rides:"Where is Mickey? I haven't seen him yet." Adam said. "Yes dad, I haven't seen Minnie either, are we going to see them?" Layla said. Their father answered: " Yes, of course, we are on our way to see them." A few minutes later, Adam yelled: " There is Mickey!!!" After waiting in line for a little while, they got to take pictures with Mickey and Minnie, and they were as happy as they could ever be. At the end of the day, there was a big parade with all of Disney's popular characters riding all kinds of very well lit and decorated vehicles waving their hands at the happy crowds. At that time, Adam was so tired that he fell asleep in his daddy's arms. The family left the park along with the other visitors and went back to their hotel. The next day, the kids were up early again asking their parents: "What are we going to do today?" Their mom said: "How about staying at the resort and enjoying the swimming pool?" Adam and Layla gladly agreed. Over the next few days, the family visited Universal Studios and some of the other theme parks, and had tons of fun. Before long, it was time to go back to New York. While mommy was getting the suitcases packed, Layla asked: "When are we coming back to Orlando mommy?" " Won't you rather go some where else next year?" her mother asked. "Is it going to be as much fun as here?" Layla said. "Yes, of course, but it's going to cost you another good report card, so are you up for the task?" her mother asked. "Definitely!!!"
